A lead is any visitor (company or individual) who shows interest in a company’s service or product, they usually hear from a business or organization after opening communication by submitting personal information for an offer, trial, or subscription or engaging in live activates such as exhibitions and events.

  • Lead Generation is the process of generating consumer interest for a service or product with the goal of turning that interest into actual sales.

  • A visitor discovers the business through one of the marketing channels provided, such as exhibition, website, blog, or social media page.
  • In cases of electronic medias, the visitor then clicks on call-to-action (CTA) — an image, button, or message that encourages website visitors to take some sort of action.
  • That CTA takes visitor to a landing page, which is a web page that is designed to capture lead information.
  • Once on the landing page, the visitor fills out a form in exchange for the offer. Now we have a new lead.
  • Once all of these elements put together, we can use the various promotional channels to drive traffic to the landing page to start generating leads, i.e. Lead Generation Marketing.
